My favorite word is LOVE. These past couple years that has been my word of the year and I have been focusing on living my life out as a loving person. The reason that its still my word is because I have still not mastered this skill, and I still have a long way to go. Today though I wanted to talk about the significance of the word. It is a very deep word that is often time confused with the word lust. Lust is a strong sexual desire, while love is a incredibly deep affection for someone. In the Bible it says that "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rued, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."-1 Corinthians 13:4-8. This is the true meaning of love, and we as humans cannot live this out perfectly because we are not God and make mistakes unlike Him. Although we are not perfect, we can still strive to do these things, and to love people in this fashion to the best of our ability.

When you tell someone you love them, make sure that you truly mean it! It is word that carries alot of weight, and should be not used lightly. Also before you tell someone that, make sure you are not getting it mixed up with lust because the two are very different.

Utilize every moment...

If knew that you would die tomorrow, what would you do in those last hours before your death? Would you eat all the food you could cram in your stomach? Would you go to the bar and try to drink away your fear of death? Or would you possibly go to everyone you "care" about and tell them that you love them and that you are sorry for things you have done to them that are not right? There are many variations of answers that people would answer with, but my answer to this question would for sure be that I would go to the people I care about and express my love and make right with them. The only problem with me taking this approach is that I may not have the chance to tell these things to the people I truly care about because we live in a world where tomorrow isn't promised and every second we are alive is a gift from God.

Because the next second of our lives is not guaranteed, we really need to be careful to always treat people with love and to make things right that need to be made right. This is harder than it sounds because sometimes our priorities get mixed up and we put the important things to the side (love, family, God,friends, etc.). I know that for me, this is a constant struggle because I lose sight of the important things in life and focus on the things that really don't matter in the end. For me, the two things I really need to pay more attention to is God and my family. What about for you?

We only get to live life once, so lets utilize every moment we are blessed with.
